Licenses for social workers in Idaho must be renewed annually. The fee is $80 for LBSWs and LMSWs, but $90 for LCSWs. Twenty hours of continuing education (CE) is required, of which one hour must be in professional ethics. Social workers are obligated to dedicate half of the CE hours to formal experiences like seminars and workshops. The remaining hours can be completed by performing self-directed activities.
