North Carolina Social Work License Options
North Carolina requires license renewal every two years for social workers. Forty hours of continuing education (CE) must be obtained during the renewal period. The only exception is first-time licensees who must complete 30 hours of CE. Four hours of the training must include social work ethics coursework.
