To provide financial assistance to qualified graduating seniors at Parkersburg South High School.
Applicants must be graduating seniors at Parkersburg South High School who have been admitted to attend Glenville State College in Glenville, WV, or Alderson Broaddus College in Philippi, WV.
Selection of applicants will be based on the knowledge and a love of people as attested to by the guidance counselors and as evidenced by candidates’ participation in extracurricular activities and community service; preference will be given to students majoring in education, with further preference given to students intending to major in history, fine arts, physical education, or middle school education. To the extent possible, preference will be given to applicants whose elementary and secondary school careers included terms at Blennerhassett Elementary or Junior High School.
