Scholarship Mission

To help the beneficiaries of an individual working at USS Coral Sea CVA-43 Association.

Qualification Requirements

Applicant must be a son, daughter, step-child, grandchild, step-grandchild or great-grandchild of one of the following: an Association member in good standing on the date the scholarship is awarded; or of a deceased member in good standing at the time of death; or of a non-member who was killed in the line of duty while serving aboard the USS Coral Sea in ship’s company or air group, or was captured as a prisoner of war, or was injured in the line of duty to the extent that separation from the U.S. Navy was required. Applicant must also be a high school senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

How Winners are Selected

Selection will be based on the submitted essay. In the event of a tie, GPA will be used to decide the winner.
