To provide financial support for the surviving family members of employees who died from an on-the-job accident, and/or whose injuries qualify for lifetime income benefits, to have the chance to pursue education and training to help them build better futures.
Applicants must be one of the following: injured employees of Texas Mutual policyholders whose injuries qualify them for lifetime benefits; or, the children or spouses of a person who was employed by a Texas Mutual policyholder and died as a result of compensable work-related accident or had injuries that qualify them for lifetime benefits (children must be unmarried and between the ages of 16-25); must be a full-time students with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
