Scholarship Mission

To provide financial assistance for graduating high school seniors in Mecklenburg County intending to attend an accredited college or vocational school in Mecklenburg County.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale); residing in Mecklenburg County, NC; must attend an accredited college or vocational school in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

How Winners are Selected

Applicants are evaluated based on academic achievement including grade point average and performance on tests designed to measure preparation and ability for postsecondary study; involvement in extracurricular activities and leadership roles held; and record of community service and other personal achievements. Preference will be given to applicants who are children of National Welders Suppliers employees.
