Scholarship Mission

To encourage graduate students working with insects or other arthropods in the broad areas of physiology, biochemistry and molecular biology to affiliate with ESA’s Integrative Physiological and Molecular Insect Systems Section and to attend the ESA Annual Meeting or an International Congress of Entomology.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must be students who are using arthropods to study any aspect of basic or applied physiology, biochemistry or molecular biology in the broadest sense for their Master’s or doctoral research; must be ESA student members; students from all science departments are encouraged to apply.

How Winners are Selected

Selection will be based on enthusiasm and interest in attending the meeting; academic credentials; reasonable budget to attend meeting; topic or areas of thesis research; recommendations from colleagues, peer groups, etc.
