To encourage the participation of women in the study of geosciences.
Applicants should be undergraduate women (sophomore, junior, or senior women enrolled in a university or two-year college in Oregon or Washington State) committed to completing a Bachelor’s Degree and pursuing a career or graduate work in the geosciences, including geology, environmental/engineering geology, geochemistry, geophysics, hydrogeology or hydrology. They must have a minimum of 3.2 GPA (or equivalent academic achievement).
Applicants will be judged based on their potential for professional success, academic achievement and financial need.
