To provide support for a student beginning Library and Information Studies at an ALA-accredited school with the intention of pursuing a career in school library media service.
Applicants must be admitted to graduate programs in library and information studies accredited by the American Library Association and have not completed more than 12 hours by the Fall semester following the application deadline; must have the clear intention of pursuing a career in school library and media service.
Selection will be judged on several factors but the autobiographical note is the prime importance.
