To honor outstanding doctoral research on Canada at American institutions.
Applicants must be nominated by a faculty member serving on dissertation committees at universities in the United States; must be members of ACSUS; who have completed the Ph.D. degree.
Successful nominees should represent an original work that makes a contribution to the nominee’s discipline; must contain at least 50% content on Canada; and the topic must be comparative in nature; the dissertation will be judged on substantive and methodological quality, originality of thought and clarity.
